Old, I'm on the book's last page.
I recall coming of age.
I was just fifteen.
My eyes opened, I could see -
not just what was wanted from me.
I remember ev'ry scene.
In my heart and soul I found
a feeling so profound -
a reason to live.
My consciousness sent reeling,
but love is more than feeling.
One must know how to give.
The pain was too much to bear -
never more to care.
A life lived in between,
a secret in my heart's chamber,
frozen like an ant in amber -
I don't know what it means.
