Although you have vanished, now oceans apart
Your window kindles like a first star
My eyes pierce the darkness like moths on the wing
seduced by the brilliance
while reaching for the sun
Between us in tall grass of burnished fields
the longing wind is calling for your name
You never knew the secret I've concealed
of love that could ignite a golden flame
Bathed in the starlight
streaming far from your window
I touch the pillow
that is empty beside me
cold without light from the moon
