From That Illusion To My Horizon
From that illusion to my horizon vividly blazing
I exert unbelievable strength and bravery
possed by valorous men who are laying
in graves: more astonishing is the enthusiasm
boiling and fermenting in my bloodstream!
Should winds arise and threaten the mizzenmast
that holds the sturdy sails, I won't rest calm and seek rest...
I'm always keeping an eye on and avoid a possible tragedy!
I followed the long rainbow's trail
and found myself staring at tiny stars,
even small wonders can incite and inspire;
who hasn't contemplated, at least once,
the splendor of a twinkling universe
and was enchanted by its wondrous spell?
Didn't Goethe paint a Starry Night with brilliant colors,
and felt human existence was a luminescent star that never fell?
From that illusion to my horizon has been
the hardest challenge which was ever taken
by a mortal who was obsessed with death,
not by the glory achieved and trampled on
by others who thought had more worth...
more fortitude and unmatchable strength!
My cleverness has continued to shelter me from tragedy,
despite fate imposed the harshest expectations
molding my character, exposing me to unknown truths
that have changed me and my personality!
