Breathing through tears Streams of all my fears Riding a smile of serenity Encouraging my identity Whispering marvelous grace Laughter lighting up my face Heavenly hopes that enchant Awakening love to transplant Glories alive and full of kindness Reminding us of St. Paul’s blindness Awakening faith that is so strong Assures me that in heaven I belong Echoes of healing fall like snow Riding rivers that constantly flow With hope, faith and love together Warm, like the caress of fair weather Brilliant hues of crimson and gold Lighting the way with colors so bold They fire the senses with joyful hope Promising me that I can surely cope Rays of sunshine delight sings through Mercy that sighs and rings so very true Lifting up those who are filled with sorrow So that they feel the joy alive in the morrow From my heart, I can know the adoration That comes from giving, lifting up creation To be blessed by a God who truly understands And sanctifies scriptures that share His commands From my heart, I feel the awakening of delight That comes alive when God gives us His insight Providing the joy and peace that comes alive When real love can quicken the heart and thrive Heart Harp Harmony Poetry Contest Sponsored by Chantelle Anne Cooke February 25, 2021
