From My Diary: Sadness

My secret thoughts reveal such pain
in my diary I explain
how your death truly broke my heart
when from this life you did depart.
I’ll never see your face again.

Bitter tears fall like salty rain
each tear stained entry will remain
forever to record and chart
my secret thoughts.

This grief is driving me insane
and sadness permeates my brain.
You were witty, handsome and smart
I won’t move on, make a fresh start.
Each diary page will contain
My secret thoughts.
