Fresh flowers, fresh tears
They’ve all gone now. Now you’re here with us.
It was a good show, the song choices were good.
The flowers softened the light. The speeches of your time alive were nice. The prayers and wishes for your soul.
But, see there the last car through the gate… that’s over for you now.
Welcome to us, welcome to here. They’ll be back of course, fresh flowers, fresh tears.
Don’t look so frightened, they can’t hurt you now. It takes a while for their lives to move on but they do somehow!
But you are here so come on, I’ll get to know you and your song.
We can walk the grounds together until
you’re call. Up or down, it don’t matter now you’re gone.
Some of us stay forever here in this place.
Don’t worry you’ll fit in and look over there, there’s another new face.
