Freezing Rain

- My tears fall like freezing rain dripping from barren branches overhead, dampening my smile, replacing the sunrise with clouded sorrow as your heart breaks like thin ice in the winter of your sadness-

A heartfelt piece depicting the sadness and your compassionate heart so well, once again.

Like thin ice in the winter of your sadness, I thought you were describing Sandy, and looking at her comment I see I was right. This is going to be a classic melancholy piece, and I love it...into my faves, chock full of Chris Green poems!

I had just finished reading some of her poetry from the weekend and I could feel her sorrow and pain and wanted to post something that told her she wasn't alone. Thanks so much John.

"Ain't no sunshine when she's gone..." Ain't none here either. Winter rains are on their way, and if I didn't love the rain, I'd be sad. Your image of rain falling from barren branches is perfect for setting the mood of your write.
