Frederic the Mad

When you are obsessed 
With the great and good 
What is right 
And what is wrong 

What is right? 
And what is wrong?
Is all consuming 

It permeates 
Every though 
Every action 

Life becomes a state of thinking 
Rather than curiosity 
Or expression 
And shall surely lead to maddening depression 

Philosophize till clinically insane 
A straight jacket and drug's 
For companionship 
Nursed to recoup like a laboratory rat

Spinning and turning the wheel 
Questioning all the time why?
They won't let you outside 
To see the light of day

Christopher.. I know people who always had to make sense of everything. In a sense all science and no art. It took a toll on them relationally and some developed mental illness.. always stay curious. My fav bands are probably the Eagles and Journey. But I like a ton. Singers would be Don Henley. Lyrics would be Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd and the guy who writes most of Elton John's hits. I love all styles of music depending on my mood except hard rap, acid rock, and hip hop.

Nice choices . A couple of my own personal favorites in them 2. Bernie Taupin writes all of Elton Johns lyrics. And Pink Floyd are 1 of the greatest of all time. When I was in school at Cambridge me and my friend went to pay pilgrimage at the Sanatorium in Cherry Hilton where Sad Barrett was.
