God, I remember those three fights. King Kong Versus Godzilla. Even when each of them won, they looked like they had been a car crash. That was when boxing was all out and given every bit in the ring, not today, John. I can't watch that sport today. They have destroyed it. God, there were fighters back then, weren't there? I remember poor Mohammed Ali, brain damage from boxing or was it some other health problem that ended his career?? anyways you captured the sport perfectly~~

Very cool, John! Ali surely had some sting in the boxing rink. I don't know the premise of this contest, but I love the limerick! I'm in Charlotte tonight. Drove 550+ miles today. Miss you guys, but am very tired and two more long days of driving ahead of me. Love, Carolyn

You know, boxing has never been the same since these pugalists donned the gloves. I used to love this sport - now I never watch them. In fact, as a kid, I used to listen to the boxing matches on the radio. I loved Ali and his antics and will never forget the Thriller in Manila. Thanks for the memories in this terrific write. Joe

Good luck in the contest with this one..My daddy liked boxing and wrestling so I experienced watching some of these fights growing up but I still don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about...Sara
