Frankenbaby

Man has ventured to very great lengths
To replace his own will for God’s.
Unspeakable acts such as terror and drugs,
Not to mention his long bloody wars.

He's now even dabbled in cloning
And has made a few sheep and some cows.
The ultimate goal . . so to equal the Lord:
Build a human baby now.

Mankind may someday achieve this.
They might even make it seem whole.
But please Mr. Fool, explain to us all;
How will you give it a soul?

Once again, Hannington , Thank you. I am not sure I deserve that much praise, but I will accept it and you my friend have a very nice first name. Different and distinguished!

Hello Jan, Thank you for responding to Frankenbaby. I realize it is sort of a strange little piece, but being a believer, I can not get past the 'soul' thing . . or lack of it. I guess the type of folks who labor at that sort of endeavor are probably not big on souls, but rather just the science.
