Fragments of First Love

“Fragments of the first experience ever remain in air” ~ By poet
Sits above uncle wearing his preacher's hat; Sits her Mom below with a vacant praise; She for whom he sighs stands beside, Digging the floor with toes, With bruised eyes, to bury newly flumed virgin love, And he beholds the scene through a keyhole. For years hatched he a golden egg of love in soul, And twelve moons ago, he let go his dove, And she held it like a primrose, And nursed their love with pride. But softly she sobs here; his crafty uncle lays Traps and purrs as if he played with a gnat. Scene he zooms in, and rattles like a frightened rat. His uncle's mockery smothers his gaze, And through the landscape, turned upside Down, he views how she goes Like a beaten dove, gazing vacantly above, Interring her love, wearing a black shawl.
