Fox (Repost)

Moonlight glistens on snow and he's stalking, slyly slinking, belly-cresting coverts to the coop. Silence his canopy, hugging the hedgerows to safeguard his cover, there's death in his eyes. Silence is shattered, the virgin white snow is blood-spattered; no mercy is shown and no quarter given. Silence settles again, he retires, hunger sated; he'll forage again when his craving dictates.

This is one of your great poems, the final word rhymes with salivates and I see the creatures drooping tongue. Great Keith, and thanks for always being there.

Amazing imagery here. I can hear the silence, and then, well, such is nature's way I guess. Excellent poetry as always. Love, Shar
