Four-Leaf Clover
Bob a small bug landed on a childs swing
Weary and puffed because of the wind
Resting his wings and his six tiny legs
Tired from his journey, wanting his bed.
The journey was long, weather was fine
Warmth from the sun, making good time
Wings gently humming like song from a bee
Minding his own business happy and free.
Resting, recouping, enjoying the sun
What happened next can't be undone
Whisper he heard "Your going in my tum"
Bob instantly froze and went kind of numb.
A spider shot out, didn't know from where
It gave him a look - a terrifying stare
Eight legs and faster having two extra more
For moment Bob wished he had twenty four.
Spiders legs propelling, whirring in sound
Bob stumbled and fell, fast to the ground
The spider sped down its steely fine thread
That instant Bob thought "I'm about to get dead".
With energy burst Bob flew to the side
Trying to find somewhere to hide
A swift move, a wing glide, Bob hid in a tree
He's nerves so jumpy he felt like a flea.
Spider came crawling feeling his vibes
Was no where safe to find and to hide?
Exhausted Bob thought "I'm too done in
It will have me for his dinner din-dins."
Suddenly from nowhere within the big tree
A bird swooped down its direction to he
Bob placed two legs covered his eyes
Two others he used to prayer his goodbyes.
Sudden wind gush knocked Bob right over
Promptly landed on a four leaf-clover
Looking back seeing what had just happened
The bird gobbled the spider in a swift action.
Bird said to him "You was lucky there mate
That spider invaded my territory state
Taking it all, nothing left to feed
That spider was full of its own greed"
"Wrapping and hoarding it all away"
"I've been waiting for this very day".
Cunning and clever knew how to avoid
Using and hiding in darken voids"
"S. Parrow my name, anytime you want rest
"This tree your sanctuary, a welcome guest"
Flying off I was glad this day be over
And grateful the luck of that four leaf-clover.
