I sauntered the back roads and let the breeze Of the world's respiration swirl around My floundering heart with the whispering sound Of bodies in motion commanded to freeze. Gently my head tilted down in a bow And my eyes scanned the fortune of those who pretend; Rainbows of tears with no gold at the end, But that was then and this is now. Did Fate with an ironic flick of the wrist Resolve on a whimsical tarot card deal And bestowed me a deck of sweet favour, I feel, Connecting to lips that longed to be kissed. All that was missing was somehow replaced, Past merging present, two hearts were bound, All that was lost inconceivably found, Found and acquainted...found and embraced.
