Foul Kiss

Showered in shoddy kisses; not quite like the years of past. Nibbling the taste of rancidness; A foul odor of a breath you cast. Where lies the once masculinity, lined with a musky delicious scent? Is our body chemistry no longer one; another lover this scent was leant? My kisses are still sweet and tasty; my lips are as full as buds in bloom…. Yet each time I press them to yours, I can still smell the scent of doom. They ask me how I can live as such? Troublesome it is, to be in love so much; This “illusion of love” lives only in mind, for a moment, I felt his dreamy touch.

I love quality rhyme and you're a master. The ones of yours I've read have been compelling and dark so far as to induce chills. You scare me just a little(in a good way). It's possible I may have missed the deeper intent with this one, but I'll never again go on a date without a tin of Altoids. Well done

Love the title and your excellent poetry. The subject matter is upsetting and sad, but just so well delivered! Hope if there's any truth here you have long well gotten rid of him. And most importantly, hope you are doing great. Good luck again with your book! Love, Shar

Stacy a very sad and very beautiful poem - I have always held love lost as a major tragedy - One that plagued my own life for many years - I do hope that things work out the best for you whether or not the relationship works out for your poetry reflects a beautiful heart and soul lost in turmoil and that is a very sad thing - God Bless
