Created by Connie Marcum Wong, consisting of at least 4 three-line stanzas. Each line has no set meter or syllable count. The last word in each stanza must rhyme with the following Stanza and then you need to change your rhyming word again in the third stanza and so on.
A passionate dyed-in-the-wool dreamer,
you tread upon the erratic path of fate
blind to the route She's chosen for your soul.
Memories are prisms focused on the past
observing shadows that cannot be changed,
and chasing yesterday's smiles time levies a toll.
You have shared the majestic beauty of nature
and the surreal effects of Her dreamy places,
and felt your spirit soar with the wind like the birds.
But the edge of betrayal cuts like broken glass
and your wounded heart bleeds tears,
as anger dictates love's departing words.
Between the ecstasy of birth and the agony of death
human emotions are controlled by love,
yet it can be so elusive that one questions its existence.
But there is a place deep within your heart
filled with fragmented, forgotten feelings,
that assure you it does, rewarding your persistence.
