Forgiveness

Calloused fingertips press on chords Memorized long ago from being played over and over again Lean hands fly over the strings Emitting sounds that make you stop and close your eyes for a minute Strumming or jamming It makes you want to sit down and contemplate everything Like how a small mouth Can speak volumes of passion and pain And this intense harmony Will send you to your knees Not to worship But to ask for forgiveness Not to lift your arms in praise But to open your hands to recieve
