Forgiveness
I had life
I was forced to choose
Choose the high road
Choose the low
Low I became instead of up always
Low looking up
Up where only someone else could take me
ME...ME...ME...ME...ME...ME
ME was all I could think about
About the ruin and wreckage
About a life I could have changed
Changed with only a thought
Changed with an unselfish being
Being there alone and lost
Being too selfish to see
See how I had gone down under
See how I hurt you
You who never deserved it
You whose love I cherished
Cherished more than you know
Cherished more than you believe
Believe in me What a joke
Believe in who I was once
Once was there love between us
Once when I wanted to end it all
All that was pursuing me
All there to push me over
Over the edge of death
Over the cliff of disaster
Disaster paid for by blood
Disaster to be saved by love
Love lost and found
Love only to be restrained
Restrained from showing itself
Restrained from our poor eyes
Eyes that would always search
Eyes that would cry so many tears
Tears born of pain
Tears of pain born of obsession
Obsession to choose the world
Obsession to choose what could not be
Be there always in memories
Be there only in a life of love
Love which is greater than life
Love that was won in forgiveness
Forgiveness on that Cross
Forgiveness by Christ
CHRIST
CROSS
