Forgiveness

I’m sorry are words we all wish to hear
When it’s wrong that’s been done to our heart so dear.

I’m sorry are words we all need to share
When something we’ve said was mean or unclear

I’m sorry are words that most people say
Even when they’re not sure what has gone astray.

I’m sorry - two little words so easy to say 
Yet what does it change?  Has the hurt gone away?

Those two little words should mean so much
Yet without forgiveness the pain it won’t touch.

It's forgiveness that will mend a heart so blue
Forgiveness of the person for your heart to be true

I’m sorry - two little words that we all like to hear
Yet the hardest part of all is the forgiveness I fear.

To put the picture on your poem go to the contest and right click on the poem, click on save image and save to your computer.
