Forgiveness

I’m sorry are words we all wish to hear When it’s wrong that’s been done to our heart so dear. I’m sorry are words we all need to share When something we’ve said was mean or unclear I’m sorry are words that most people say Even when they’re not sure what has gone astray. I’m sorry - two little words so easy to say Yet what does it change? Has the hurt gone away? Those two little words should mean so much Yet without forgiveness the pain it won’t touch. It's forgiveness that will mend a heart so blue Forgiveness of the person for your heart to be true I’m sorry - two little words that we all like to hear Yet the hardest part of all is the forgiveness I fear. 2/14/2015 Contest Forgiveness - Rob Carmack

I love it! "I'm sorry" is such an easy thing for me to say. Some people can't seem to say it though. Sometimes you can forgive without an apology and sometimes sorry doesn't cut it.

This resonates with me on a deep level. Such wise words and one's I know to be true. I would have placed this higher in the contest myself... for it is, indeed, what forgiveness is all about. Congrats.. such a heartfelt write !!

It is strange is it not that I find it hard to say these words, not at all easy. Yet I feel such remorse from not having said them that it near breaks my heart. Is this pride or fear of the response? Love Shane xxx

Thank you Broken Wings. I went and looked at the painting. It is amazing and your poem describes it so well. To put the picture on your poem go to the contest and right click on the poem, click on save image and save to your computer. Then you can insert into your poem or you can copy it and past into your poem. Hope that helps. Janet
