Forgiven?

When do you know you are forgiven
Is it feeling
is it fact
When does that piece of you get put back
 that long you have lacked?
Is there ever a time when you are truly
Washed as white as snow
Or are you only as pure as the memory
 of all those who know
Your Father in heaven knows
 the price you have paid
For He paid it too
 your life to save

Laurie, this is beautiful. The truth of these words shines brightly. WWJD? He died to forgive us and there is nothing else that compares to the Grace of forgiveness should we choose to recieve it! Great write. Love, Robin

Laurie I have read poetry on the soup for about a year. I especially took interest when you started writing. I was disturbed when you took such a long absence from sharing your art. I have looked weekly for your poems and now you are back. There is such an innocence in your writing, your style. I hope to always be able to read your work on here. I have never made a comment before but joined because I am so delighted that you are back. WW
