Forgive Those Who Know Not What They Do
LXXVI
O please forgive the ones that do not know
By willful ignorance of foolish pride
The God from whom all creatures being flows
Whose power they have foolishly denied
O please forgive, they know not what they do
The Lord of glory whom they crucified
Their barren, foolish heart had not a clue
That it was for their sin the Savior died
O please forgive the souls that knows not who
The Spirit whom they thought have they received
By such intents it seems they never knew
Without remorse His holiness had grieved
Thy children that do call upon thy name
Forgive O Lord when guilty of the same
