Forgive and Forget, a Foolish Fallacy

The grace to forgive
Does not mean it’s forgotten
The heart remembers
Scar tissue ever present
Yet it pumps out crimson love

With a heart like that, how couldn't it pump out love of all beautiful colors? Wonderful!

I know it to be truth, God puts our sins as far as the east is from the west and will not bring them up again. Forgiven and forgotten yet we foolish humans have such a hard time forgiving ourselves and each other.

Richard......that is what makes God...GOD! We are not on the same realm or sphere...but He gives us the strength to do what we can. I believe forgiveness is the hardest test of a person's true spirituality. Thanks for the visit.

This is such a nice write on one piece of the human condition...we're so fortunate to be able to continue, almost no matter what happened.

Yes, David...."We pardon to the extent that we love." One of my favorite quotes. It is much easier to forgive when you love someone and don't want to lose him/her. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm sure you have the grace to forgive my little Desert Orchid and thanks for reminding me it's never forgotten lol. True scars of the heart never heal but somehow we carry on. Take care, Richard

You are welcome for the reminder, Mr Seal....No, it isn't ever forgotten....and THAT'S the truth! We carry on....what else is there to do.
