Dropping back to comment and agree 100%. If this practice is allowed to continue it will bring the site into disrepute - no wonder get disillusioned and people leave. Sadly no one on the site is prepared to do anything about it and I won't be renewing my Premium Membership until there is a level playing field for us all. Jan xxx

I have a big issue with the amount of reads SOME poems get compared to others which is totally disproportionate to the number of actual comments the poem gets - have contacted the site but they seem unwilling to do anything about it... no wonder people are leaving! Hugs Jan xxx

Quite a mouthful of alliteration here with that other poetic element of onomatopoeia. I found it refreshing humor after reading some deeper pieces for inspiration. The things people think up to do never surprises me.

This sure is a fun read, Mister Roboto! How cool of you to pull this off with that much alliteration, it sure came out very snappy! Honestly, I don't see the satisfaction of mega-clicking on one's own poems to jack up the # of views? I did find it a bit funny how you commented on my poem that had a crazy # of views-- that was mega weird-- one day it had less than 20 views, next time I logged on, it was at 1000+ views! I swear I didn't do that, ha!

well, once in a while I read them when I go back to someone whose ideas I was interested in or if I go back to a place by mistake and see they left me one!!! Dumbest new feature Soup ever gave us.

In reply to your reply below, Ummm, I don't read them. I just wish people would reply to me at MY poems. Then I am sure to see replies. Sometimes I do replies like the ones you did below here, but I really don't know if people see what I am saying. I do it more for others that might curiously be looking down at comments given to me. hahaha. I got rid of my option to see them from hotmail. It was too aggravating seeing more replies to my comments than there were comments on my poems. uggggg

Slamming with humour! Tasteful...although I doubt if anyone will be caught with his finger in the soup! As Linda said, I'm sure the computerized system does not accept repeat IP numbers.

Aye the Soup has, and maybe still has some unsavoury characters. Hey ho! if they don't annoy me, I'll refrain from annoying them, James....

I only wish i could get as many as many hits on my poems as it takes me to go nine holes on a golf course. I wondered about those extreme numbers but was not devious enough to think it through. Nice little rant.

I like what the soup did.. I, or you, can't sit here pumping our own poems.... Unless, you have multiple computers, with different IP, numbers, different from the one you log in from, also it goes based by your internet service. Then, the only way these peeps are allowed to forge views, is by using a library or other sources, in which provide different internet carriers. That's the only thing that makes sense. Lol....

In other words I can spike up your views, but I can't spike to my own. Which is Xool... I never was the type, to go back and read my own crap. LOL:) You are too funny. Thanks for the Awesome reply...

A click, click here and a click, click there, there --Here a click, there a click, everywhere a click, click.... lol..... I got you, and I got to say, ever since they changed the view station.... We have a few who, manage to pump up views with no comments. I don't understand how they manage this. I posted a poem a week ago or so... The guy, above me, had 200 views.... and I laughed, because ain't no way, you can post a new poem, and have that many views. I think this person post from a library or something

By the way, my friend. Thanks for your comment on The Hills poem I wrote. It actually WAS inspired by a wonderful painting I saw. Using paintings to inspire me is something I did several years ago when I created many etheree with my inspirations and published a little chapbook with the paintings illustrated along with my poems inside that book! I can't find where I saw the picture of the trees on a hill, but I found a picture that is similar to it if you wanna see: http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/17-Nov-2010/77745-Autumn-Wheat-Harvest-Rural-Country-Americana-Folk-Art-Landscape-Painting-72dpi.jpg

hahaha, I heard of a girl who was actually doing this. In fact, there were a few of them. They would have TONS of views but hardly any COMMENTS. That is how you know when it's all a cheat!! This is a great farce about that stupid trick. They don't fool ME any. Comments means a lot more to me than number of views because those can't really be forged. Well, unless you happen to be the crazy guy here at Soup with a female persona. He uses it to post comments to himself. NO BULL.
