Forbidden Fruit

He watched her through the trees as she bathed.

Beautiful Slave of an evil king.

Desire to take her to his mountain cave.

To hold her tight and hear her sing.

She loved that he was watching her,

Forbidden sin making her ache.

She looked all around, just to be sure.

If caught, they could be burned at the stake.

She swam under the limbs of a willow,

Where he waited, just to be near.

Her head on his chest like a pillow.

He watched to make sure it was clear.

Their longing embrace was too short.

She had to return to her kings court.
