For You, Not Me

What does it feel like to know everything you prayed for actually happened? What does it feel like to know that everything you once desired has now come to past? What does it feel like to know everything you hoped and wished for is now present? It’s more than just a breath of fresh air. It’s more just than a summer breeze. It’s more than sipping libations under a shaded tree fan. It feels like the collapsing of icebergs that are plunging in a -30 degrees splashing plane. It feels like a rushing water rapture leading to a magnificent fall. It feels like an eruption of a dormant melted rock. It’s almost like nature orchestrated the events that led to this momentous feeling. This feeling is majestic. This feeling is imperial. But most of all, this feeling is for another soul, not me.

I love this. The imagery is fantastic, and the realization of earthly hardship is hard-hitting. Yet, people who have everything are rarely happy. Go figure.

This felt like a breath of fresh air until the last sentence suddenly slapped away the air supply. Good writing that makes you feel and ponder. I personally believe that hard work brings in the luck, eventually. You have to reach your lowest point to appreciate the highest one, to crave for it. And everyone deserves the high points, Brown including you. I hope the feeling reaches you, I really do. Warmest wishes, Hiba.

It's not luck as suggested below. Prayer works! But in God's time, not our own

That's it, Tom! With prayer, all things work in God's timing!
