For You, I Will Run
Life is like a long run
It is my field; I am its man.
I keep on going until I see
"Finish Line" and you beside it,waiting for me...
I set my eyes upon my goal
It comes nearer as I go.
Though tired now, I tell myself so,
"Don't give up! Don't say 'no!'"
I give my efforts; I give my best
Until I overcome this fateful quest.
Blisters burning my feet, now I could feel
Yet I tell myself, "That's no big deal!"
Hope is the one that counsels me;
Faith is my guidance when I couldn't see.
But there is one thing more important to me:
To believe in myself and to believe in thee...
You are my coach; my great support.
You trained me and helped me figure out things.
Before I may fall, you stretch out your hand
You are my hero; you are my friend.
One day, as we were running around the field,
I asked you something and you replied to me, indeed,
"You ask me why I run? Do you not know?
I run for you coz I love you so."
My heart had felt inexplicable joy!
I couldn't hide it, though I tried.
That time, I thought I was in heavenly space
I was in bliss, I was amazed!
Oh! How I miss those beautiful days!
But now, things had changed and had replaced
The happy moments of running with sad moments of pain.
I can't forget the way you taught me on how to live:
"To love, to run, to share, to give."
You are my inspiration; the reason I run.
You didn't give up to me, because of your love.
Great are the things that you have done
So now with my love, for you, I will run.
