For Too Long

It started with a sigh
A tear then came rolling down my cheek
Tears, more than one, came streaming down
Before I knew it... A waterfall was on my face

In the darkness of my room
I shut my door
The doors of my heart
And the doors of my soul

Allowing no one to intrude
It was open for long enough
It was available for too many
Too long
