The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

For the Sake Of

For the Sake Of

in the light,
of tomorrow,
see the world
shining
through a haze.

yesterday was
the opening,
tomorrow is the
closing
of the space,
between,
the visions
of the lake

Send out prisms
divide the light
around
to everyone
see how
death is laid

know your song
sing along
hear the notes
skipping
past your ears.

smell and breathe
away the day
kick the
prison bars
all clear away.

Keep tight
stay right
or you will
be hollowed
out to see
your brain

digging,
digging for fortune
swimming,
swimming for safety
dying,
dying for
the sake
of getting out

in the light,
of tomorrow,
see the world
shining
through a haze.
