For The Life Of Me

For the life of me; I can't understand why
people everywhere are tethered to their phones.
Although I don't wish to oversimplify,
it seems we are willingly becoming clones.
Technology diminished human contact,
and bigotry is on the rise; that's a fact.
We are social beings; meant to interface
with one another in person, face to face.
