UPON JULIA'S CLOTHES.
by Robert Herrick

WHENAS in silks my Julia goes,
Then, then, methinks, how sweetly flows
That liquefaction of her clothes.

Next, when I cast mine eyes and see
That brave vibration each way free ;
O how that glittering taketh me !

This is a parody of a poem displayed in my notes. There she goes, his paramour, Clad (of course) in silk-du-jour, Jiggling from head to floor As though he’d never seen her before! When he steals another glance, How drastically she’s changed her stance: The silk is now remember-ance As will soon become his pants.
