For Once

The baby got killed
As the ancestors were sinner
There should be justification for that
Is it the craft, dear sophisticated seniors?
Justification to find the metaphor, nicer, fluffier words
To show a black people dying, to show sexual orientation
Enough people are not dying in Palestine?
Enough death is not enough there?
We are justifying the privilege
Holding the privilege
Is it poetry, dear sophisticated seniors?
Have mercy
Have compassion
And if it is impossible, have silence
It is better than your burdened talk
Better leave or let leave.
For once, let the lip be mine.
