Since I can remember…
You’ve always been there for me
A light, a smile, love that is alive
Coloring my darkness in hues of life
Brilliant and bright, filled with insight
Since I was a little girl…
You’ve encouraged my hopes and dreams
Kissed away all my fears and tears
Brought me a feeling of contentment
Falling across my senses with gentleness
Since I can recollect…
You’ve whispered kindness into my heart
Left me with words of wisdom, so strong
Words of warmth, faith and joy within
Lingering on my soul’s depths in sweet dreams
Since I was so very young…
You’ve lifted away all my worry and concern
Filled my mind with soft words of tenderness
Brought alive the dance of serenity
Baptized me in contented resilience
Since I can recall…
You’ve been the one who knows my heart
Whispers sincerity through my thoughts
Awakens affection and correction
Reassuring my mind’s worst disappointments
Since I was a babe in your arms….
You’ve always left me feeling so alive
With love that lasts through everything
Brings with it a faith that believes
Light that pierces through the night’s haunting
Since I have known you, sweet Mother…
You’ve given me hope for the morrow
Taught me that love always follows
The light of those who trust in God
Follow their hearts and give from their soul…
Love that is forever alive with kindness
Love that lives inside those who wisely listen
To hopes and dreams, feelings that whisper
To life – with joy, faith and insight, inspiration
From the heart who prays for peace and devotion
Love that is forever – a part of you, my Mother
The heart who holds her child by strings of sincerity
Faith, hope and love that abide within the one
Who knows that God above sanctifies this life
And gives the only love that is greater than yours!
