For Lilly My Nieghbour.(Her Love For Frederick)
Your photo sits still
in first blushes of youth,
this green and pleasant land
resplendent, wanting your footprints
upon it's sands but king and country
laid down all plans of a youthful man.
How will it be when we meet
further from the stars, all I have been
blessed to see but no commitment,
just a breeze, will you still be wanting me?
My days upon this unyielding land
I know, like my heart beat, beginning
to slow but every last breath, I inhale you stronger,
you were my beau, you died a soldier.
