Notes About The Poem

For Jan Allison

You live on an island not at all on an island But smack, in the middle of life, The center of our small word loving society If it weren't for you, I had drowned In that Soup-sea of incomprehensible rules for autists. It isn't strange for hubbies to say: "I love you". So there you go ;) Ask your first hubby if we can share to eternity and back, because that would be so lovely. Jan, life kicks us so hard sometimes but we kick back with a vengeance! One day we'll swim that canal and meet halfway on our rubber duckies Smiling broadly and drinking ginger tea. *** February 18, 2017

Ahh .. You are living proof that the love we chase is already in us, coming from us. We tend to forget that when we set sights on 'someone' to bring us love, they cannot bring what we already own, nor take it (taint it, yes). AND, glory be - they can share it. You share your love as a joy-gift to resonate in all of us. I know Jan was/is touched. Kyle, wide eyed, just read OUR poem and has been awed to silence. I suspect he is 'marinating' & will soon write you. U are loved by us. U are love

Lynn, thank you! If it weren't for Jan, I would have given up trying to get used to Soup in the very first few days. She is a dear friend of mine (and my wife LOL)
