For Cyndi - a Blitz Poem-- News of Revolution

NEWS OF REVOLUTION

Yesterday's wars
yesterday's news

news without end
news that isn't new

new day
new dawn

dawn arrives
dawn brings rain

rain so familiar
rain of blood red leaves

leaves fall again
leaves can shout of spring

spring is eternal
spring brings hope

hope for renewal
hope to heal

heal the wounded,
heal our hearts

hearts reach out to hearts
hearts can listen

listen and accept
listen to each other

other ways to bend
other ways to mend

mend the wedges
mend our bridges

bridges of enlightenment
bridges of understanding

understanding me
understanding you

you are not so different
your desires are the same

same respect
same love of family

family of the world
family cries for peace

peace for our children to thrive
peace for the future

future is precarious
future is now

now is today
now is tomorrow

tomorrow is in our hands
tomorrow waits

waits to see
waits and prays

prays to start anew
prays for revolution

revolution and resolve to love
revolution to live and let live

live
love

Nicely done. For some reason - it made me thing of Les Miserables. The musicality of love and revolution dancing through your poem.

Something good to write. Something good to read.

Glad you had fun. I will be using this form if I ever just want to free a thought that is stuck, if I get writers block. It's like "fire in the hole!" Vicki introduced us to this. Like her energy. Have a good weekend. We're on fumes here, a week of my girl sick with a cold -- but the last bad bout she had was around Christmas so we are not doing too badly. September was awful....

Awesome and filed with possibility, Toots! Loving the flow and its energy. You got 99.9 % right -- the way the last two lines go (if I read that right on the internet) is that the last words of lines 47 and 48 become the only words on line 49 and 50. the last word of line 48 becomes the only word of line 49 and the last word of line 48 becomes the only word for line 50- the creator of this form did that intentionally http://voices.yahoo.com/poetic-form-blitz-5420951.html -- to hold the reader
