''For Colored Girls Waiting To Exhale''
You
descended on me
from the stars above
appearing out of visions
overwhelming my still soul with your self
as door by door opened on life’s passions
to show me all the pleasures long been missed
and for a second, I began to exhale
then caught my breath
daring to let go
completely.
The touch
of your body
overwhelmed my virgin predicament
as years began to become
one night and I exploded into paradise
with innocence.
Exhalation was inevitable.
