For Alexa Wheatley
Your innocent eyes have seen Evil,
From someone who should have loved you.
But he just beat your poor body at will,
So much pain you must have gone through!
Nobody heard your hidden cries,
Nobody saw your many awful bruises.
A child can only take so much and she dies,
From the weight of abuse and violence.
What kind of a monster took you, Alexa?
You were so pure and meek, an angel.
Now heaven has saved you from that dilemma-
Your pain is gone, I know you are well.
I hope with all my heart, to see
That Justice be given for your untimely death.
No more Alexas will suffer and be-
Victims of the monsters that Evil begets.
