For Abigail
Little tree, I loved you the first time I saw you
Your green leaves bright
Ladling laughters of light
Your eyes sparkling sweetly like a silver dew.
The wind around you whisper at your dance
Erudition flown on spring
Butterflies brought on wing
Where the water falls ... gold remembrance
Of another special child bereft of presence
Where hope's blossom falls
Silent as distant night palls
Truth and success timeless tale's evidence
Little tree, did you know the rebirth of dreams
Again I felt in your shade
The journey that would wade
Me away from sun's heat to cool evening streams
It was you inspiring me to hold again a little hand,
A daughter long unseen
The silent pain, the keen
Secrets that churn in the lonely heart of a man.
I believe you would bloom all that I felt lost, and I
Pray the bearer of fruits
Would make you bear fruits
More special than kings can dream ... golden in the sky
