Footprints I've Made
Places and walks, Just who am I?
Willing to work, new paths I try.
Trails in my past - an office clerk
musician’s life, a soda jerk.
My foremost route, with no small strife -
two kids were wrought as mom and wife.
The bills to pay in school I taught -
demanding skill with wisdom fraught.
Retired, I write my days to fill -
footprints to make, some ink I spill

I was able to revise an older piece, a Cambodian pathya vat, into less lines to meet the 8-14 line requirement. Hope you enjoy the new path I took.
