"Star Bright, Star Light, First star I see tonight. I wish I may I wish I might...."
Author unknown.
I wished for a cat
and only that.
I was five years old.
I remember being told,
"Cats kill birds"
So saddened by these words,
A dog was on my mind.
Dogs are always kind.
My birthday soon came around.
We went to the pound.
So many dogs were tall.
and a lot were small.
Some were white.
Even black as night.
Others were dark.
Quiet or a big bark.
There you are !
My shining star.
Where have you been?
The biggest dog ever seen.
Today I am six.
We will name you Brix.
I will never be mean
I'll always keep you clean.
My job to feed you,
You will be happy too.
I will never be sad.
Best dog I could've had.
