Fog Envelops

The fog enveloped early morning
Coating it with a silvery mist
Even the golden leaves 'pon the magnolia
Knew they had been sweetly kissed
Bright sunlight tried to peek through
But the clouds gathered around
Closing off the laughter, tears dripped
Slowly to the damp cold ground
White pampas spikes stood still
As a soldier in his watch
No breeze to move the blossoms
Or the earth adorned wristwatch
