Notes About The Poem

Flowers as far as the eye can see

Meadow of clustered flowers
fragrant bouquets of petals
pinks purples yellows whites
~ a delightful extravaganza

Spreading their joy like tentacles 
they entice butterflies and bees
while the sun keeps busy 
caressing this wild ageless garden

Bill p.s. we saw the most beautiful field the other day while driving through the countryside ... thousands of planted and grown tall sunflowers ... the yellow was entrancing. I remember seeing a few bison (instead of cattle) on the side of the highway... they're usually brown but these were a beautiful soft shade of creamy beige ~ it was magical. No photo but the memory is still in my head.
