Floating Within Me

When my heart breaks in pieces Abandoned, floating around With drenching pain, that increases No reasons to be found Then waking, to a fiery sunrise Flames burning in the morning sky Sharing messages, positive and wise From what I’ve learned and why When the voice is stolen away I will write so that I can speak The silent screams from night and day The plays of life, with the show’s peak Observing a pastel colored sunset I spread peace and hope where I can The sharing of true love and places met Inspiring others, from the miles I ran Painting pictures with words to see Love is the answer, the purpose to be From music, to paintings, to poetry All floating, from deep within me Heidi Sands 9/5/17 *Placed 2nd in What Inspires You To Write Poetry?
