Flickering Through the Mind

What flickers through the mind, so quickly as to be lost before found, like a flash of lightning? A half-thought, never completed? A line of poetry never written? A dream swiftly fading into mist? A memory of a love long lost? All the brain's sparkling confetti, falling into myriad streams, merging into a relentless river, emptying into that black ocean-- ... the unconscious....

Thanks Heidi, I like the confetti too-- it's always a pleasant surprise when the right words, the diamond words, come-- though I'm still trying to figure out if they come from my unconscious or deeper in the soul-- the eternal quandary!
