Fish Flirting

A yellow-tailed angelfish

flashed his tail at me.

His shimmering skin was all aglow,

as he wiggled his fins and waved hello.

Thank you, Linda, fish are fun to write about. Did you read my other fish poem? (Haiku) "Fish eye to fish eye/ in love's stony embrace/ two rock fish kissing." OK, I guess I'm done with fish poems now. Until I visit the aquarium again!Blessings, ~~Darlene

How true! I like the way you think. Thanks, Viv! I mistakenly named another fish poem by the same title and was confused when this one won. The other one I named "Kissing Rocks" which I saw at the aquarium. "Eye to eye/ in a stony embrace,/ two rockfish kissing, face to face."

Thanks, Rochelle-Mari! for reading and liking this poem. I felt a connection when I met this flirt in the aquarium and I knew I had to write about him. He was so adorable, as you say.

Hi, Eve, I saw this fish at the Sea World aquarium. It kept circling the tank and staring at me with those big fish eyes, and a poem was born! Thanks for commenting. Blessings, Darlene
