Fish and Apples

consecrated sea — the premier splash’ refreshing before the first bite
1/30/2022 Newness Senryu Sponsor: Beata Agustin The Garden of Eden was sufficient for food. All the fruitful trees were available to Adam and Eve…all except one. The tree of good and evil held fruit that indeed would open the eyes of the innocent. Adam and Eve “took the bite” in listening to the serpent and eating “choice” fruit, in which I mean they made a choice to disobey God. An apple is merely a representative of the fruit since it is not named in the bible. Fishermen describe the fish as “not biting” when they are not able to catch any or very little.

I am sure many of us, despite warnings, 'take bites' at things which tempt us, ignoring the consequences. ~ Congratulations for a merited podium finish, Kim. ~ Regards // paul

Interesting, Kim. I wonder what would happen if Eve offered Adam fish instead of the apple. Something to ponder over I enjoyed the poem. Blessings ~ Debra

Ooh. You are the inightful one. The fruit on the tree of Life, indeed, was never named in the Written Torah/Bible/Old Testament. (There are several opinions in the Oral Torah / Talmud, as to what the fruit was. 'Apple' is a minority opinion. But it is still a possibility). :) gw
