Enjoying the sense of quite that your haiku evokes. The combination of bright leaves being snowed on says November to me. (except for where I live, haha). Best wishes for a win with your lovely write ~ John

I enjoyed this one. It brings up what few memories I have of snowfall. The quiet that occurs is awesome. We don't do snow very well in the south. We are not prepared for it at all. It can mean major power outages, vehicles crashing, people falling, etc. When we have a power outage, we have no water, no heat, no way to cook, and sometimes can't get on the road. Sara

Snow is rare where I am... We hardly get any these days. Other parts there is snow, especially on high peaks

Beautifully penned, Andrea. And I’m looking forward to our first snow too here in NY. Although I want to enjoy fall first if it’s all possible with Mother Mature :) Good luck in the contest... xoxo

it was our first of November. I wanted to say "cover the ground's leaves" but am afraid to use apostrophe per rule of no punctuation. Maybe it turned out better how I did it. Sure hope so! You are in England, right? I suppose snow is kind of rare there.
