First Impression
She entered my life in hardened black heels,
Striding right up to my gate,
With her dead black eyes staring ahead,
Defiantly devouring my fate,
This first impression, no second chance,
Of power and strength dressed in black,
Her enduring depth walked up to me,
As the rain and the lightening cracked,
In this night of change, night of light,
Night that would lead to nowhere,
She changed my life, in this dark stormy night,
Unchaining my life from this chair,
This woman, this ghost, this witch of the night,
In the storm she gave me the key,
To become who I am, the man I now am,
Of happy and honest and free.
