Fireworks On Victoria Weekend

When  it is the long weekend for the fireworks 
The fireworks begins when the sky is darken
Some people gather in parks to watch fireworks 
 Others just watch fireworks from their homes
It last till the early morn
When people try to sleep
Noise on pets
They are scared
Whining 
Scared

Emilia James July 3, 2025 at 12:28 PM I would much prefer fireworks to done at an organised event. Saying that, I don't like them as they scare the animals and the bangs get bigger and louder every year. My cat is pretrifeid of them and goes of to hide. My dog may sometimes bark but luckily he don't seem to be scared of them atm. Enjoyed your poem too. Usually we have Fourth of July fireworks here and you have described the scene perfectly even to the dogs who are so scared of the noise which applies to one of our past dogs . Food and drinks were fantastic too… another: My grandson grabbed his dog when he ran away from fireworks in road…”oh no no no,” he says and holds on to him…lol I don’t know if he learned to be brave or not.
