Fireworks

I changed my life today let go of the worst - today I became the man I no longer thought I could be The fireworks saved my sight from grasps of an engulfing fright a fight given to me to escalate and let me fly away a sight I’d seen the other day to forget what i’d given three lonesome sparks that tilted - my way of thinking I forgave what came before and will always forgive what I have now take my hand and squeeze ‘till the blood comes dripping out and I’ll show my love the sparkles and glows just like the fireworks

There's such confidence in "I changed my life today". Too many times we try to change but fall back into the same old patterns. "I forgave what came before" is so important to thriving. To easy to thrash about in the old mud. Very thought-provoking write, Ada! ~ John

Thank you, John! I never really focused on those two lines before, but I sincerely loved reading this comment. It helped me understand this poem differently. :)
